Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 4, 2026

This policy explains what personal information StatusHawk collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

StatusHawk is run by StatusHawk LLC, a Michigan limited liability company (“StatusHawk”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@statushawk.io. Our mailing address is StatusHawk LLC, 6670 Kalamazoo Ave SE Ste D PMB 1194, Grand Rapids, MI 49508.

2. What this policy covers

  • the statushawk.io website;
  • the StatusHawk early-access list;
  • the StatusHawk service, once it is available to you;
  • text-message alerts, if you opt in to them.

StatusHawk is still in development. The parts of this policy about the service and text-message alerts describe how they will work, so that the policy is ready when they launch. They apply to you only once you use them.

3. What we collect

When you visit the website

  • Request data. Our host, Cloudflare, handles your requests to deliver the website and keep it secure. That involves your IP address, your browser’s user agent and the page you asked for.
  • The security check. The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated sign-ups. Turnstile processes your IP address, a TLS fingerprint, your browser’s user agent, and the site key and website it runs on.
  • Visit statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which reports in aggregate and uses no cookies and no browser storage.

When you join the early-access list

  • your work email, your role and your organization type;
  • any optional answers you give about your team and the tools you use;
  • whether you are open to a call;
  • when you first signed up and when you last updated your answers;
  • which version of this policy you were shown.

We do not store your IP address with your sign-up.

When you email us

Your email address, your message and anything you attach. Our email runs on Google Workspace.

When you use the StatusHawk service

  • your account: your name and email address;
  • your sign-in sessions: IP address and browser user agent;
  • your organization membership and roles;
  • an audit log of actions taken in your organization’s account;
  • the configuration and results of your monitors and alerts;
  • the integrations you connect, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams or webhooks;
  • a billing contact. Payment card details are held by our payment processor, Stripe, not by us.

If you opt in to text-message alerts

  • your mobile number;
  • a record of your consent: when and how you gave it, the wording you were shown, and the IP address you used;
  • records of any request to stop;
  • delivery records for the messages we send.

4. How we use it

For readers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the legal basis for each use is in brackets.

  • To contact you about early access (your consent, which you give by joining the list).
  • To plan what we build first, using the answers on the list in aggregate (our legitimate interest in building a product that fits the people who asked for it).
  • To keep the website and the service secure and to prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
  • To provide the service you signed up for (contract).
  • To send the alerts you opted in to, including text messages (consent).
  • To meet our legal obligations (legal obligation).

5. How we share it

  • With the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf.
  • With integrations you choose to connect, such as Slack, Microsoft Teams or a webhook.
  • Within your own organization’s StatusHawk account, for example with its administrators.
  • When the law requires it.
  • If StatusHawk is involved in a merger or acquisition, with the new owner, who must keep honoring this policy.

Our service providers

“Active” means we use the provider today. “Planned” means we will start using it when the matching part of StatusHawk launches; we will update this list before that happens.

We don’t sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

6. Text-message alerts (StatusHawk Alerts)

StatusHawk Alerts is the text-message program of StatusHawk (StatusHawk LLC). It is not available yet. When it is, it will work as described here.

  • What we collect: the items listed under “If you opt in to text-message alerts” in section 3.
  • What we use it for: only to send the alerts you opted in to, to handle your HELP and STOP requests, and to keep a record of your consent.

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We share your mobile number and the content of alert texts only with the messaging providers and wireless carriers that deliver StatusHawk Alerts (currently Twilio and Telnyx), and only to deliver the alerts you opted into.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any StatusHawk Alerts message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for help. You can also remove your number in your StatusHawk settings, or email hello@statushawk.io.

7. Cookies and similar technology

  • The website sets no cookies of its own.
  • When you use the sign-up form, the security check issues a one-time token. We keep Turnstile’s “pre-clearance” feature turned off, so it does not set a clearance cookie.
  • Cloudflare may set security cookies that it classes as strictly necessary. For example, it sets one called __cf_bm only where its bot protection is turned on.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics uses no cookies and no browser storage.
  • The StatusHawk app, when it is available, uses a strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in.

Do Not Track. We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking, so we treat every visitor the same way whether or not their browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

8. How long we keep it

  • The early-access list: until you ask us to remove you, or 24 months after your most recent sign-up, whichever comes first. Then your entry is deleted automatically. A deleted entry can remain in our database provider’s backups for up to 30 days.
  • Server logs: our application logs never contain your email address or IP address, and they are kept for 7 days.
  • Email: for as long as the conversation needs.
  • Text-message consent records: for as long as we need them to show that you consented, including after you opt out.
  • Service data: as described in the terms for the service.

9. Your choices and rights

  • You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a portable format, or stop using it, by emailing hello@statushawk.io. We’ll respond within 30 days.
  • You can withdraw your consent at any time: reply STOP to stop text messages, and email us to leave the early-access list.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom and data-protection law there applies to us, you can also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. In the United Kingdom you can complain to us first, and we’ll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days; the UK regulator is the Information Commission.

10. Security

We serve every page and form over HTTPS, limit who can access personal information, and keep the early-access list in its own database, separate from the StatusHawk service. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t promise absolute security.

11. Where your information is stored

We store personal information in the United States. The early-access list is kept in a Cloudflare database that is restricted to the United States, and the StatusHawk service will keep its data with Neon on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1). Cloudflare’s network, which delivers the website, handles requests around the world.

12. Children

StatusHawk is for businesses and other organizations. It is not directed to children, and it is not for anyone under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child, we will delete it.

13. Automated decisions

We don’t make decisions about you based only on automated processing.

14. Changes to this policy

The effective date at the top shows when this policy last changed. If we make a material change, we’ll say so on this page, and we’ll also email the people on the early-access list.

15. Contact

Questions or requests about your personal information: hello@statushawk.io.
